How To take a Snapshot of Your Computer Screen Using Snip and Sketch
As computer users, we often find ourselves in need of the snapshot of our computer screen either in still image format or even video format. This depends on what we need it for. However, we can achieve this through the use of a software.
As computer users, we often find ourselves in need of the snapshot of our computer screen either in still image format or even video format. This depends on what we need it for. However, we can achieve this through the use of a software.
There are many applications programs used to achieve this, but we will stick to one in this tutorial.
Note: This tutorial is applicable to only Windows user.
How To Capture Your Screen in Image Format Using Snip and Sketch
Time needed: 1 minute.
To capture your computer screen on a windows system
- Launch Snip and Sketch App
To capture the image of your current display launch a program called Snip and Sketch. This software program is available on the latest version of windows 10. You can download it here.
- Click NEW Button
As soon as the app is launched, click the NEW button on the upper left corner of the application window.
- Highlight the Needed Part
On clicking new button, the screen becomes dim then at this point, drag your mouse over the part of the screen you want to capture.
Note: You can also capture the entire screen by clicking the Full Screen Snip button at the top. - Save Your Image
Just after the area of the screen is captured, a copy of the image is sent to the clipboard for pasting in another application for further processing. You can also click the grabbed image on the notification sidebar to further annotate and save it in the Snip and Sketch application window.
For users with an older version of windows, the Snipping Tool is the app used for taking a snapshot of the screen.
